After Hours Pubs

Does anyone have a particular place that the gang likes to hangout at during their down time? We have a place about 2 miles from the firehouse called the Rosecliffe, where when we walk in the place becomes ours and the drinks become dirt cheap! (Just for us of course) This has been a firehouse pub since it opened up in the 1960's.

PS. Note the following

1. The Donuts are in a cardboard (NOT Leather) box.

2. There are NO lights (as yet) on the box.

3. The Donuts are volunteers, they are not paid, but they are still PROFESSIONAL about being Donuts.

4. The donuts have decided that beer in their meeting hall is ok.

5. There are no Explorer/Junior Donuts allowed in the box.

6. PPE is optional for the donuts, they are tough.

7. These dounts are the 1 3/4 inch hole variety, who wants a wimpy 1 1/2 inch Donut.

8. They are All Crusty Donuts. :p

9. The Donuts have opted for the weave pack as opposed to the flat pack, as they feel it works better.

10. The box is RED, not yellow or green or any other new wave silly pastel poncy color, RED.

When I was working on the cruise ships I would always have one or two or three or four in one of those big cruise ship glasses .... Kahlua, Baileys, Amaretto, Vodka and cream/milk. Some bartenders topped it off with a splash of (oh boy how do you spell this? It isn't in the dictionary) Franjelico, but I didn't care for it. YUM YUM! Ordered the same thing in a bar in Miami and got it in a wimpy little glass, just not the same, and other land-based bars served it as a shooter.

Now I'll just have Kahlua/milk (in a big mug, lots of ice) or if I'm feeling particularly rich :rolleyes: or at Christmas/New Year's it will be Kahlua/Baileys/milk. mmmmm mmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :D :D :D :D

My g/f is from Orlando, and this is her first "northeast winter" so, it should be interesting. it's fun trying to explain about driving on slushy roads, black ice, etc. her reply.."well, I've driven in "Florida ice". yeah..Florida ice..you slow down you gain traction...nothing more than hydroplaning...

Havana. I'm located about 20 or so miles north of Tallahassee. I don't live in Havana, I actually live in the middle of nowhere. I have a Havana adress though. I live right at the Florida/Georgia line. This is a great area to live. 90+ in the summer (:)), teens in the winter (:)). I am in close proximty to many state parks, and only a few hours away from the beach. I can make it to Orlando in 3.5 hrs. Medic huh? Must be nice. Everybody wants a medic. No one wants a crappy little EMT like me though.

Uh, right. Florida ice? That's a new one to me. Ice on the roads is extremely rare anywhere in the state. The last time it snowed here was in March of 1993 (the best I can remember). We had a white Christmas in 1989. Got a picture of the family standing in front of the "Welcome to Florida, the Sunshine State" sign surrounded by snow.

Um, no not into the whole girl on girl thing, thank you very much. Jay and Werju1 and everyone else in the Illinois thread, know that I'm not a guy. This was just some laughs and friendly banter. Wow are you prudish! And incase you didn't know Mike's labels are clear and smaller than your tattoo, so your tat woudn't be covered. And they taste good, far better than that piss-water you drink. YUCK! Mikes and Smirnoff Ice are great to keep a buzz going with out making you sick. :D Don't know what people drink in Florida, but malt beverages are popular in suburban Illinois. And I won't be ashamed of myself, it's not fun being an angel all the time. :D
