Is anyone else using this new neb on there rigs?

Just wondering if anyone is using Xopenex nebulizer on there rigs? If so, what do you think of it?

Well, we are still carrying good ole albuterol on the trucks, but here a few months back when I was doing ER time - they were using it there and I got to work with a few PT's.

My take on it - it works pretty good. The Pt's don't seem to exhibit the "tremors" they do w/ albuterol and the reaction time seemed to be on par or slightly faster than albuterol.

I know all the ER doc's that I worked with seemed to think it was the next wonder drug b/c thats all they gave orders for.

Simply my opinions based on (minimal) ovservation.

We are trying to go to nebulized Lasix of pt's with pulmonary edema. The onset time is supposed to be almost on contact. We should have this through the protocol process soon
