ATTN: OHIO Investigators, I need help

This is for an fire/arson investigators in Ohio. I was wondering how one becomes an investigator. Is it required that one goes through a police academy to gain powers of arrest for arson situations? Must you become a deputy fire marshal? Do municipal fire departments have their own investigators?
