Our dept. uses a software package called emergency software. They have fire inspection, NFIRS 5.0, Personnel and Training and much more. You can visit there web site and down load a demo of the software. We have been using the software for 7 years and realy like it.

Our department uses FireHouse software from Visionary Systems. I utilize the inspections module for tracking and scheduling. We use our own locally produced inspection form and add the data. We find the program to be reliable, useful and very flexible. At their website www.firehousesoftware.com (http://www.firehousesoftware.com) you can order a free 30 day trial version.

As DavesNavy stated above, Firehouse is a great program form tracking everything from fire and ems incidents (NFIRS 4.0 & 5.0), daily log, vehicle maintenance, training records, personnel records, hydrants, and prevention & investigation reports. My fire department currently uses Fire Programs software, which has virtually the same modules and features for about the same price; works just as well.

We are currently using Fire Programs and have found it to be very user friendly. We keep records from Inspections and Pre-plans to Hydrant testing and maintenance. It has been much easier to use than the Firehouse program.
