The CD-ROM based interactive Fire Investigation training tool -
interFIRE VR has been released.
The interFIRE product was the result of a partnership between the NFPA, ATF, US Fire Administration and American Re-Insurance.
Complimentary copies of interFIRE are to be distributed to:
Law Enforcement: ATF will be distributing copies to local and state agencies through their field offices.
Insurance: American Re-Insurance will be distributing copies throughout the insurance industry.
Fire Service: The US Fire Administration will be handling the distribution to the fire service.
Individuals can order copies by going to the website and completing an order form. Each copy is only $9.95 for the two CD set. This covers duplication and distribution charges.

This training tool provides the fire investigator an opportunity to investigate a fire in virtual reality using his/her computer. The program also includes a Tutorial Section with numerous training topics from setting up a fire investigation team through preparing for court, and a Resouce Section containing hundreds of refrences for fire investigation topics.
