BOOT's

What type of boots does your Dept give ya. In my dept I was issued and old set of Leathers with the toe half worn off now i have new set of rubbers which do you prefer?

I have a pair of rubber hitch boots right now but I am buying a pair of leather hitch boots. My post doesnt care as long as the boots are NFPA approved.

My dept issues us rubbers, if you want leathers you have to buy them, I wish I had leathers they are so much better!

We get rubbers but I much more preffer leathers. The only thing I dont like about leathers is they have like no ankle support.

Leather boots...ICK! ICK to those helmets that most companies use too. We use the New Yorker style, MUCH BETTER!!!

Leather all the way. My dept. issues rubbers,lol, Nut myself and others have purcashed our own leather's.

Everyone is originally issued rubber boots. If you get enough points a year, your supposed to be able to get leathers, but right now we don`t have the money to buy that many pairs. The paid guys, all have leather though, and a few volunteers bought them themsleves, others got their timing just right, and the department payed. I`m just happy I got a new helmet, and I refuse to even put my foot in a leather boot, then I`ll be begging for those, and right now the rubber ones don`t bother me, that much at least.

We are issued rubber, they suck. Hard on the feet and heavy. Leather is the only way to go. They fit like a boot. I just wished they made a pair of 3/4 hip boots in leather.
