The thread started by jpm got me thinking about some special truck belts I saw at a show in Las Vegas. They are made out of Nylon or Cordura and look like a cross between a "linemans" belt and a "starwars" military "do-all" device. These things are designed to carry anything from tools and escape gear to snacks and beer! Does anybody use them? Why or why not? If yes, do you carry anything in them that you could not carry in your pockets? If you have one you like, where did you get it from?

I have 2 belts one for fires and one for rescues. The fire belt is a Boston leather truckman's belt with 1 hooks on each side I only carry a king pelican flashlight and a zico ulta-light spanner wrench on the belt.
Because if you carry to much on the belt you can't get to your coat pockets and your S.C.B.A gets in the way.
The rescue belt is a utility belt that I carry a large number of tools on it.
Paratech biel tool, vice grips, seat belt cutters,linesmen pliers,window punch,tin snips,battery wrenches,screw driver, electrical tape,scissors,& multi-pliers.

Check out my article Nov. 1998 Fire Engineering page 99.
