Patches on bunker coats

For those of you who have station patches on the outside of your bunker coats, can you tell me what material you use, and whether they are the glue on or stitch on type.

the thread that is used I beleive should be nomex or PBI or whatever the coat is made out of. Glue would not work at all, the heat would just melt it off

I have my company patch on my coat,(41 Truck). It was sent to the quatermaster and sewn on. I thought that it was just regular heavy-duty thread but after reading Pak-man's comment it may be PBI Thread.

I have always just used regular thread. Never had any problems.
