Does anyone know of any new gear coming out for firefighters?

There is a new material out there call Basofil. It is supposed to be the future in turn-out gear. It is lighter then PBI.

if you guys get new gear you gotta do what all the guys do around here. roll around in the ashes after 1st fire.I guess they hate clean fire gear. I've seen guys that all they all they'll do at the scene is direct traffic and then they'll direct traffic and go roll in the ashes(so it makes them look like they went inside) then they go home and make up this wild story about how bad this fire was and how it almost got them. It's kinda of like those hunting stories about the 38 pointer buck.

One of the things we have had lots of luck using is the krill light, its like the chem lights you break but they take 2 AA batt. If you get a bright red one you can use them to direct traffic and not use road flairs, and when your finished with them just turn it off, safes money for the dept. And keeps everyone safe.
