FDNY Memorial Service

I have heard rumors that the FDNY is going to be having a large memorial service for our fallen brothers, seperate from all of the individual services. Has anyone else heard this rumor and can anyone tell me a date? I have check the IAFF site and hear with no info. Can anyone confirm this rumor are they going to have a combined memorial service for the fallen or not? Just curious but would love to attend. :confused:

FDNY is saying YES. they are going to have a memorial service. This will be planned sometime down the road, no set date at this time. IAFF will be notifying all the locals as soon as something begins to be planned. IAFF and FDNY are very aware of how much the rest of us want to be there for support. I imagine that they would like to bring everyone home before they plan something.
That was the latest I had heard or read.

Thanks for the info. I will keep in touch with my local and hopefully they will be in touch with the IAFF. Hope we can all be there for the FDNY. :eek:
