Guys, I believe I am familiar with the "comic strip" that was originally posted here. I believe the purpose was to take a shot at those responsible for the senseless deaths of our brothers & sisters in WA. I first saw the picture on the web site of talk radio host Neal Boortz. On his Friday show he devoted a large chunk of time to denouncing the policies that led to this tragedy and showed fantastic support for these fallen heroes. If anyone would like to see this picture it may still be available at www.boortz.com (http://www.boortz.com) under the program notes section.

Feel free to write Mr. Boortz, but he's not the one who drew the cartoon. But if it will make you feel better, please go ahead.

Just remember - political cartoons are meant to illustrate reality with absurdity. Just because it offends you doesn't necessarily mean it should be censored - in fact, if it offends or angers people, it's probably a good political cartoon. A lot of us on here actually agree with the sentiment that the cartoonist was going for - that environmentalism at its heart is amoral, anti-human, and anti-social, and its manifestation, the Endangered Species Act, led to the deaths of those four firefighters.

I don't find the cartoon offensive at all. What I find offensive is people who hold fish in higher regard than they do people. Now if that's not offensive, I don't know what is.
