View Full Version : What a sad week...

Birmingham, Washington State, New York City...
Internationally from New Zealand and Montreal.
And the serious injuries in South Carolina and New Mexico.
Perhaps a collective moment of silence is in order...what a sad week. But move forward we will, building on the lessons of those from our past, new angels among us.
Comrades, comrades, I am dying!
Soon I'll be among the blessed.
Fare--oh! fare you well for ever,
I am going there to rest.
For my mother's arms entwine me,
And I can no longer stay;
Onward, comrades, to the battle,
Angels they will lead the way.

There's actually one more to add to this somber list of fallen comrades of last week. In a small village near Moncton New Brunswick, a all volunteer department got a page for a call early on Thursday morning. One of there own never made it to the call. From what I've heard, he got out of bed, and collasped dead on the floor. An autopsy was done, but no result have been released. He was 23yrs old. He leaves behind a wife and step-daughter. It was the first LODD Funeral that I've been to, and I don't want to go to any more.

Brothers and sisters, we will continue to do our jobs when called. We will continue to lay it on the line, because it is what we do.It is in our blood. God bless.
