Best Departments to work for in Maine

Relocating to New England with my Fiancee to be closer to Family. I would prefer Maine, so does anyone know who are the best departments to work for in Maine? I'm Pro Board Firefighter I & II, National Registry EMT-B, and will be completing my master's degree in fire science in June of 2009. Thanks

There are many decent depts here in maine. It's also a very large state. What part do you want to live in?
If southern Me. is your choice then Portland , So. Ptld, ,Scarborough &,Westbrook come to mind as good choices. Most are looking for Paramedic license along with FF 1&2.

Midcoast are you have the LL bean fire dept.with some career help .
Brunswick has a very decent career operation with good management and a busy enough call volume. They have recently hired several FF's and require moving to paramedic lic. but will send you to school. Bath is similar.

There are other depts that have a high turnover and always run help wanted ads, which lead me to believe that there are management issues.
