Job Description
As the Security and Emergency Services Supervisor at Micron's Manassas, Virginia, site, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, staffing, and providing team member relations for the security and emergency team, receptionist, and control room, as well as security contractors. As part of the ESH and Security group, you will provide the department manager with strategies to meet security and emergency services goals and objectives, helping to ensure that these strategies are met and that adequate protection of Micron Technology Virginia (MTV) site personnel and property is continuously maintained.
This position will require you to generate and maintain documentation related to the group. You will work closely with and monitor the activities and fieldwork of assigned groups, as well as work closely with department supervisors, managers, and coordinators to achieve department goals. In this position, you will oversee the on-shift security emergency supervisors and provide assistance on a regular basis to all site departments for security emergency related activities. Additionally, you will identify, implement, and assure the success of Micron Security and Emergency Programs in order to increase the level of security for the site, assure an adequate leve of response to emergencies, and provide the resources to meet the needs of internal and external customers. As manager of the security group, you will be responsible for assuring that personnel have achieved the appropriate level of expertise by providing training and career and growth opportunities for all group members.
Qualifications
Successful candidates for this position will have some of the following:
Education and experience in regulatory applications such as OSHA, DOT, FCC, NFPA, FEMA, HazWoper, and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. .
General business knowledge.
Experience in Emergency Services through Fire and Rescue services
Previous management and supervision experience.
Good logic and reasoning abilities.
The ability to set department direction with little or no direct supervision.
PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Education:
BS in Industrial Security, Emergency Services or equivalent experience is preferred.
